Hi Rainer, there are a few "specials" with the rescan...
Samplers: There is only a one way from nonsampler to sampler that lms checks. The other way from a sampler to a non sampler is not really detected. The rescan for changes works like: "is the filestamp from the files other than the filestamp in the database - if not do nothing if yes rescan these files. If you changed an Artist or the Albumname or any tag that is clickable in the Webgui all these changes would be done but the "old" Info isnt deleted from the db. IMHO to change that all these queries must do another query " i am the only one ? and if yes remove me" And this would "cost" a lot more time or there is another reason for that. Even the 2006 slimserver did it (like i discribe it)- so i think there must be a reason for this.
