Where is lms installed? On this device? 7.8 is known as kind of buggy (try at least LMS 7.8.1 or 7.9)
The Hard but may fastet way is to stop lms delete the cache folder and restart lms again. May your out of diskspace or Memory on the Server? Did you check the logfiles already?
