So if i get this correctly I'd buy a chromecast audio for Eur30 connect it to speakers (haven't got any yet, maybe any old radio with a linein would do?), then I'd install the googlecast plugin on my LMS on my NAS and then chromecast would act as a SB and would appear in, say, Squeeze Ctrl etc. I do not need to recompile or program anything. No Google account is needed. The same process would be applicable to any other upnp player or to airplay devices (I don't really know what an airplay device is, is it an ipad or something produced FOR an ipad?) @Michi: Hm, 100Eur is still a lot of money... @Michael: I wouldn't know how to change the firmware of an UE SmartRadio, it seems to be identical to the SB Radio apart from the software. @Apesbrain: Yes I have been thinking about sth like this too, especially as it will enable me to make use of the excellent BeyondPod App the comfort of which is superior to LMS's handling of podcasts...
