Thanks for the further replies. Just to confirm that I'm not using Itunes here.
I've tried moving the playlist folder to a location I can access (a folder called Documents on the NAS) but the existing playlist are not yet appearing there. I take it that this relates to this: "Under *ux (where your lms is running) - you need to set the executable bit for that Folder - otherwise you cant manipulate [save] your playlists with lms."
