I'm hoping that someone can help me unpick an iTunes playlist issue. 

I'm running LMS 7.75 on Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.4 with iTunes 12.3.3.17.
My music files are stored on an external USB drive, although the various
configurations are many years old now! It seems that some iTunes and LMS
settings still point to the internal drive whilst others point to the
external USB drive - but everything worked fine up until a few weeks
ago.

My playlists show up and play in iTunes without issue. But they have
recently (mostly) disappeared from LMS. There are a few left - but these
only have 2 songs in (out of about a hundred). I've tried rescannning
everything every which way without success. 

Grateful if someone could help me piece this back together again. I'm
thinking something like:

1. Playlists work in iTunes. So how can I check where they are stored on
my drive?
2. How do I point LMS to this location?
