I recently reinstalled my server with Fedora 24. I installed the RPM and then installed various perl modules (run squeezeboxserver, watch it fail due to missing module, install, repeat). I am now left with the following.
Any ideas? Is Fedora 24 just too new? Is it worth installing an older linux version on a VM and just running LMS from there? (I was previously running Fedora 16 with no issues) I have tried removing the distro provided perl modules and installing them via cpan, same problem. The following CPAN modules were found but cannot work with Logitech Media Server: Image::Scale: Image::Scale object version 0.12 does not match bootstrap parameter 0.08 at /usr/lib64/perl5/DynaLoader.pm line 216. Compilation failed in require at (eval 86) line 1. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 86) line 1. XML::Parser: Parser.pm and Expat.pm versions don't match at /tmp/logitechmediaserver-7.7.5/CPAN/XML/Parser.pm line 20. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /tmp/logitechmediaserver-7.7.5/CPAN/XML/Parser.pm line 22. Compilation failed in require at (eval 107) line 1. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 107) line 1. To fix this problem you have several options: 1. Install the latest version of the module(s) using CPAN: sudo cpan Some::Module 2. Update the module's package using apt-get, yum, etc. 3. Run the .tar.gz version of Logitech Media Server which includes all required CPAN modules. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ADL's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65892 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105871 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
