When I mount the QNAP file system on the Raspberry Pi (I just did this
again with a new Raspberry Pi 3), I first connected to the Pi using ssh
and created a folder under /mnt where I wanted to mount the QNAP. I
created /mnt/Music.

Then go to the piCoreplayer admin page and to the LMS tab.

Set the mount point to be /mnt/Music
Set the Server IP Address - in my case 192.168.1.100
Set the Server Share - for my QNAP this is Qmultimedia/Music
Selected Share Type - CIFS
Entered my QNAP username and password
Made sure that I'd selected the radio button for "Enabled", then clicked
Set Net Mount

Check that LMS is running, also check the "Autostart LMS" option.

You should then find the LMS in a browser at the IP address of your
Raspberry Pi, at port 9000. You need to set this up in the usual way,
giving your mysqueezebox.com user details; telling LMS where the music
files are (in the example above /mnt/Music) and setting a music scan
going.

Once the scan is complete, you should see your music collection.

Plugins get added in the usual way through the LMS settings page.
