Just sit out the initial scan. Or cancel it from the settings. You're not installing from scratch every day, are you?
Surely there's a way -not- to have LMS simply start scanning some random directory upon being installed.
Yes, you could copy a prefs file with the path information before you install it. Other than that: nope.
