1) thats my setup (debian)
The User squeezeboxserver (who runs logitechmediaserver) is member of a
group called lms.

ls -l /home/jan/
drwxrwxrwx 2 jan lms 4096 Dez 1 00:17 [playlist]

you'll need to set rwx for the playlistfolder.
2) please take a look at the cli help inside lms.
you'll need some more parameters. to lazy to look myself rightnow.
