Looks like SSOTS uses /opt/ssods4/bin/perl

-admin:/opt/ssods4/bin> ./perl -v

This is perl, v5.10.0 built for i686-linux-thread-multi

Since you mentioned SSOTS Perl, I googled and found this:
https://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods/ssods_faq/ Use binary Perl modules
shipped with SBS

I was not aware of SSOTS pushing its Perl version onto LMS.

The faq says:
Alternatively, you can disable this mechanism altogether by creating a
file SSODS_SSUSEBINARIES in the SBS directory (e.g. touch
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/SSODS_SSUSEBINARIES). Once you
re-installed the SBS tar ball SSODS should not touch any of the files
anymore.
But that file is already present, so that doesn't make sense.

But SSOTS is working without any problems. Perhaps a stupid remark, but
SSODS is, as far as I know, the synology version and SSOTS the qnap
version.
Should there be a
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/*SSOTS*_SSUSEBINARIES file (can
hardly imagine).
