SPH and the oficial plugin works fine for me . Playlists and all ( it's a flat list that's the limitations). Don't forget to activate every single one of your players at my squeezebox.com if your using the oficial solution. If you entered you Spotify creeds year ago on my squeezebox.com you migth have to remove your account and redo the procedure ( as explained in the SPH tread )
Running my LMS on Linux mint 18 64 bit . Yes SPH or Triode helper using its own port in the firewall. It's very common for NAS distros to fail ofthen there are SSL or perl incompatible problems . Also SPH or Triode have some dependencies too ? Hence why a less scaled down OS with the expected features is preferable.
