Hmmm. Just installed the windows version on my Win 8.1 (64) machine. Trying to play the URL produces the same old problem (plays for 1 to 2 seconds, with audio, then stops). Using windows 7.9 dated Feb 15.
Ok, unfortunately I can confirm this issue on Windows :-(. Looking further into the transcoding code I see there are major differences between Windows and the other systems. I need to tweak those pieces, too.
