Oh, this is a little more complicated than I thought: I reported above while testing LMS 7.7.6. It did work there mostly, but the settings lacked the tabs. Now with 7.9 I get a totally different picture: tabs in settings are ok, but the main screen is, as reported, somehow blocked. I'll dig deeper...
