You can check faad decode. 1. Get a WAV file (eg. rip a track from CD to WAV) and then do your encoding to alac using your rip procedure. 2. Use LMS supplied faad to decode the alac file to WAV file. 3. Binary compare the WAV file in Step 1 to WAV file produced by faad.
