If you are running LMS on the Pi it should be wired anyway. Wireless is
by definition highly unstable whereas a wire is stable.
It is physically possible to run wirelessly but you are asking for
trouble. Good practise is to wire it.
You can't assign a static IP to a WLAN card but you could reserve it on
your router if it is capable.
