Made a little progress- the uninstall panel sat there for about 25 minutes, then seemed to uninstall LMS. Never seen one take that long. I seem to remember that during the install, LMS tried to connect to Squeezebox server for about that long before it moved on.
What LMS version did you come from? Older versions left tons of files and folders inside the cache folder. Cleaning those up could take a very long time. But I thought I fixed that at some point (more than two years ago).
