I have stopped trying to run LMS on any QNAP due to these sorts of issues. You'll fix one issue and a new firmware update will come along and break what you have spent hours researching and then manually fixed. Instead I use the QNAP for what it is primarily good at - serving files - and use a Pi3 with piCorePlayer for LMS and point it at the files on the QNAP (either NFS or CIFS).
