SB Classic cannot play AAC / ALAC natively. The "Can't open file for" usually means LMS is missing a working transcoding application faad.
Check LMS WebUI Settings/Advanced/FileTypes under AAC - if the entries are like "faad", "faad", "faad/lame" or "faad/flac" - then faad is missing.
