I'm inclined to agree, but cannot find the issue.

Things I've tried.

Numerous resets of NAS, router
Countless factory resets of receiver and controller
Roll back of NAS firmware
Roll back of modem firmware
Turning off firewall on modem 

Strange as all the "second generation" devices work fine, but the first
generation (as I understand it the squeezebox receivers are essentially
SB3 dumb devices) do not...   I should find my original SB3 and see if
it will work.
