If its that sort of thing that worries you then get a decent NAS (2 disk in Raid 1). Put your music on it and point your local LMS at it but also set it up to backup to one of the many relatively cheap cloud storage services on an overnight basis. Youll only have to pay to download it if you need to because of a disaster. Running LMS on a server in the cloud isnt really a viable option for most people.
