I saw that but I hoped things might have moved on with an official plug-in. I'm not sure what is involved in creating a plug-in.
Your easiest "plug-in" might be a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with piCorePlayer... From what I've seen over the past weeks and months, installing LMS on FreeNAS isn't for you unlike you like to tinker and learn.
