Hope this works. One server log file attached. Here's the script I followed:
Enabled logging (player.sync) also put a log on server CPU usage on - or attempted to. I'm not sure that worked. Restarted the server. Unsynced Slimp3 from the other players. Played a 170k VBR mp3 on the group - all fine. Played same 170k VBR mp3 on the solo Slimp3 - all fine. All players working (although Slimp3 out of step, of course). Added Slimp3 to the sync group. All fell silent (although screens look like players are still playing. Used web interface to play 64kbps CBR track from Spotify. All players working fine. All synced. Play local 256k CBR mp3. Silence again. Unsynced the Slimp3 from the group. Rest of the players start playing the track. Slimp3 remains silent. Press play on the remote and it also starts to play (unsynced, naturally).
