It may be a problem with file permissions and user/group. Since you are
using an Raspberry Pi with pCP the simplest is to login to the RPi using
ssh (download a program called Putty on some Windows PC, for example
Putty_Re_Unofficial from the Windows 10 store):
- connect to the Raspberry: in Putty just enter the IP-address and user
name (tc) in the obvious places. Choose connection type SSH and open the
connection
- when prompted for password, write piCore
- you should get to a prompt,

- check a faulty directory with 'ls <full path> -al', for example

Perhaps someone familiar with what credentials are needed for LMS on pCP
can see if there's a problem.
You could also compare with a file listing from some directory that
