Here are some tips and ways to do, when you run it to trouble with
QLogitechMediaServer and LMS !
When it seems QLogitechMediaServer start without any error, and after 5
minutes you still cant not access the webgui ( port 9001 is the default
)
Log-on to the webgui of you're QNap, and go to the app center, check it
if QLogitechMediaServer is running.
When it running, stop it wait a while and start it again.
When it not running, try starting it and have a close look at the
bottom right side for any messages.
Check the messages on the top right in the webgui, and look if there it
gives any error messages regarding QLogitechMediaServer !.
Still having trouble, or it wont start or gives a error !
Log-on you're Qnap nas-system by ssh.
Now do [ cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer ]
First let's check the log-files, do [ cat QLogitechMediaServer.log ]
Also check if there is a file called QLogitechMediaServer.log.err, if
so do [ cat QLogitechMediaServer.log.err ]
Have a good look, on the output !
Then do [ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh status ], where it will tell you if
its running !
Running but no webgui for LMS, do [ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart
].
Have a good look on the messages, and wait a few minutes before trying
the LMS webgui !
If there where errors in the log-files, or its shows errors on
startup.
Try [ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh stop ] and then [
./QLogitechMediaServer.sh failsafe ]
( If its works with failsafe, there is a plugging which causing the
error )
Still errors or no webgui, do [ rm SlimServer/.INSTALLED ] and [
./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart ]
Not working after a few minutes, or giving errors [ rm .QLMS.conf ] and
[ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart ]
All of this will preserve any settings, keep in mind some times old
settings from other installations, could make LMS crashes !
Completely removing QLogitechMediaServer, from the QNap app center will
lose all the old settings.
But on trouble/errors some times, it helps to remove
QLogitechMediaServer and reinstall it through the app center.
Make sure to backup the SlimServer/Cache and SlimServer/prefs directory,
before donning this.
[ BACKUP SETTINGS ]
You could do this by log-on you're QNap nas-systems by ssh.
Now do [ cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer ].
Then [ tar -cvpf ../LMS-Cache.tgz SlimServer/Cache ] and [ tar -cvpf
../LMS-prefs.tgz SlimServer/prefs ].
Stay in the ssh, and do [ cd .. ], after which you could safely remove
QLogitechMediaServer through the app center.
Reinstall it and test if with a clean installation, it work and you can
access the webgui ( default port 9001 )
[RESTORE SETTINGS ]
Now go back to ssh, do [ cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer ], and [
./QLogitechMediaServer.sh stop ]
And now do [ tar -xvpf ../LMS-Cache.tgz ], [ tar -cvpf ../LMS-prefs.tgz
].
Now we gone try it with the old settings, do [ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh
restart ] and again have a close look on the messages !
It work after a clean installation, but giving errors after restoring
settings.
Do [ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh stop ] , [ rm -r SlimServer/Cache ] and [
rm -r SlimServer/prefs ].
Now try starting LMS again [ ./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart ].
( Remember all old settings and plug-gins will be lost !)
[ Still errors or trouble ]

Start a new thread, or send me a pm.
Include the QLogitechMediaServer.log and if exist
QLogitechMediaServer.log.err.
Also if exist SlimServer/Logs/server.log.
Please which model and which qpkg version you have installed.
