I do realize LMS is largely a labor of love and I am grateful for it; however, I don't understand why after many months of development LMS 7.9.2 can't be considered a new beta build and updated semi-regularly as such.
It is a beta build. It is a nightly. It is stable. Call it what you want. It's really only the DietPi's dev's understanding (or lack thereof) preventing him from "allowing" his users to use it. Giving it a different name won't make it any more stable. In theory 7.9.2 is just another bugfix release for 7.9.x. The dev should accept 7.9.x.
FWIW: bumping the version number, adjusting update checkers, repositories, build systems etc. is about a day of work. I was tempted to do it recently, but really... it's mostly a lot of work, with little added value.
