I'm running the server with the --nomysqueezebox option (in
/etc/default/logitechmediaserver), so I don't know why they are doing
this.
This doesn't make any difference to the devices. They have a life of
their own, can live without LMS. But they do try to access mysb.com, as
you can see...
They were firewalled off from the Internet, since I generally do not
allow "Internet of Shit" devices external access, but I have temporarily
disabled that, which makes no difference.
That would explain their crazy desire to call home. They try and try,
because they can't access it. You have two choices: live with the
messages. Or open up the ports again. Or configure the DNS to not log
those messages.
Ok, that's a little more than two. But anyway.
Oh, another idea (four): create an /etc/hosts file on the Controller
itself and point jive.squeezenetwork.com to whatever you want.
