As a test - I used mplayer (on same Ubuntu system) to play the podcast and paused it after about 1 minute - this meant TCP was open and not all data was transferred.
After a short while all data transfer was stopped but TCP connection was kept open with TCZeroWindow and TCPKeepAlive. Connection was not broken evewn after 30 mins paused - it continued when un-paused and data transfer was continued as expected. This means podcast server doesn't always break connection if content is not "moving" - need to look at LMS TCP connection setup to see what options are chosen and then see what happens if audio playback on LMSplayer is paused ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109809 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
