I seldom actually look at the LMS management screen, as LMS is installed and working fine on a computer in the bowels of the household, hooked up to an external hard drive and a router. Content is normally managed remotely, across the network.
I have had recent occasion to fire it up, though, in order to run a complete re-scan. I noticed a notification that a new version of LMS was ready for download and installation. I'm running 7.9.2. My hunch is that the notification is about the most recent "official" version, which I think is 7.8. Is there any way to tie the notification to the less-than-official availability of subsequent versions? Or am I wrong, and that's what's happening now? R.
