You could make a very simple mpeg movie file and see if it works. If it does then it shows that streaming can work to your device - and it is probably the particular content that is causing a problem.
However, whatever the problem ... getting something changed in that area is unlikely unless someone does great diagnostics and pinpoints a problem that is easy to resolve. If minidlna is working well then ... can you simply leave it running and not worry about LMS?
