I've recently re-ripped all of my CDs and transferred the old library files to a new external USB SSD on my LMS v7.9.1 running on Windows XP. I chose to clear and rescan everything, and the scan starts runs for less than a minute and reports 'scan aborted unexpectedly. Can anyone point me to what may be the issue?
I'm not even sure I should even give any advice beyond "get your system up to date)... :-)
But anyway: Go to Settings/Advanced/Logging, enable logging for the scanner (from the dropdown box at the top), then re-run the scan and provide the full resulting scanner.log.
