I would say that anything since the rPI v2 is more than adequate for an infinite sized lms library. The only thing you gain from upgrading beyond there is the ability to support more resampled/transcoded streams (if that's your thing) or working with *huge* playlists. And when working with huge playlists you need available ram more than CPU MHz.
Tbh I think the rPI 4 is a step beyond the original purpose of the device. It's a different product, fast, capable, but runs hot and needs active cooling, has a performance oriented chipset, lots of I/o capacity.. it's no longer a hobbyist product. (Apart from the grrr sdcard dependency.) I'm not sure I want one. I don't need 4k output and I've not hit a limit that matters on the pi3+... -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs.
