+1 I can confirm this behavior.
I know this is a very old thread, but it seems that the problem is still
here.
My setup has 2 RPi running piCorePlayer, 1 SB radio, 1 receiver and 1
boom. LMS is running on 1 of the RPi's.
Especially the SB radio does the inactive/active thing that causes a
skip:

This happens more or less regularly at 20-30sec intervals, *no matter if
the players are synced or not, and no matter if they are playing or
not*!
However the 1s gap in the music is only apparent when the culprit player
is synchronized in the playing group.
I can also confirm that stopping/starting LMS fixes the issue(until the
server is restarted)
Did anyone ever solve this permanently?
