Well you can resize from piCoreplayer, using the web interface.

If using a Windows computer it is possible to make a Gparted usb stick
and restart the computer from that, plug in the sd card (in a reader if
needed) and then use the graphical interface of Gparted to create an 
extra partition.

There are on-line guides for Gparted and it might be a good idea to
practice beforehand with a spare SD card.  Make a back up of your
present card before doing anything.

It sounds complicated, but is harder to describe than to do, if you get
my drift.

If you have a spare raspberry pi, you can use that, install the Raspbian
Desktop OS and add Gparted.
