The problem seemed to go away on its own, and I thought it had perhaps been a networking hiccough. (The Squeezebox Classic that was out of synch is in an area that would be difficult to run network cable to, so I use wifi for that device. But it's also on the outside of the original 2 foot thick granite fieldstone outside wall, so the best wifi signal is in a line of sight through a doorway. I can manage 80% if the device and router node are positioned just so.) But I had more problems last weekend, the device started repeatedly rebooting, and once I replaced the power supply it was happy again.
