OK, thanks for that info. It's true I browse exclusively by folder (my music folder being where everything is kept with myriad sub-folders). I have 87,000+ tracks and this works welll for me.
When I get a chance I will browse by artist or album and give it a try tomorrow (Sydney time) and get back to you. It isn't really essential to me, as I only occasionally create playlists, perferring in the norm simply to play whole albums. But I'd like to experiment a bit with mixing it up so if I have to go the album/artist route for this purpose that's OK with me.
