Not sure why deleting your Squeezebox folder and reinstalling would
solve your problem, but glad it did.  BTW, if you really want to nuke
your Squeezebox installation, you also have to delete the hidden folder
located here: C:\PROGRAMDATA\SQUEEZEBOX\  => Note that this is a last
resort as it also removes all of your settings.

I hope it sticks, but I have a feeling your original issue was not
really solved.  Almost always such symptoms are related to network
issues.  Have you recently changed internet providers, routers, or
router settings?  Have you moved your residence or relocated any of your
equipment?  Did you get a new neighbor (whose wifi might be interfering
with your own)?
