Before I start tinkering and get myself in trouble, I was wondering if
anyone had any experience upgrading an LMS 7.x install on the Netgear
ReadyNAS to LMS 8.x?

I'm running a 626 (Intel Xeon CPU) with OS 6.10.3 and v1.0.9 of
Poussin's LMS plugin. I've had 7.9.x configured to automatically
download nightlies, which I then install using the handy command line
instructions.

What I'd like to do is just download the ReadyNas Pro Installer Package
(i386) from 'here' (http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.0)
and then install that via the GUI. But I'm concerned that that's too
simple and might result in two copies of the LMS running on the 626. I'd
then have the headache of trying to delete one or the other without
removing mutual dependencies.

Does anyone have experience with this 7.x to 8.x upgrade path? Is there
an internal update mechanism I could use to easily install 8.x over my
7.9.3 install?
