As I had the same problem, I abandoned MS Edge in favor of Google Chrome. Consequently, LMS (version 7.7.6) was again fully operational. Problem solved...
BUT... when MS officially moved from Edge to New Edge, I tried again to use LMS with MS's new version. Whaow! LMS works flawlessly and the sound quality has jumped 10 floors higher compared to what I had with Chrome. It's like a veil of fog got removed and the music becomes cristal clear as never before. My system consists of Windows 10-64 bit, LMS 7.7.6. and Squeezebox Touch.
