Would be good to know which particular streams you are playing. For example FIP is available as HTTP/MP3 and HLS/AAC - Paradise as MP3 and FLAC.
Your LMS server.log might have some clues - but might need an increase in logging level for streaming to help. FYI - we play FIP/FIP Monde, France Inter and BBC Radio 4 for hours on end without problems.
