You mention that "the home on the LMS webpage is set as the UK". Where is this setting? In LMS I can only set the language of the user interface, not my location. Maybe you mean the country setting in your account on mysqueezebox.com?
FYI, I am located in The Netherlands, and can play local stations as well as BBC stations without problem.
