+1, this is how I do it as well. One tip though, At times I have not found a podcast with a complete search term, then abbreviated it, and found it. For example if I search "Exact Podcast Name" I might not find it, but if I search "Exact" it show up. Not sure why... Also, check both gpodder and itunes if you don't see what you are looking for.
