I just discovered this and thought it could be an easy way to get access to the old music files I hadn't yet migrated from my old Mac Mini (which used to be my server in the Apple - Airplay universe). So I installed LMS on the Mac (which was a breeze, took me less than 2 minutes), and presto, all there. Except that I can only browse by Artist, Album Artist, Years or Music folder.. Is there any way to also enable a browse by Genre option here?
Hmm... I certainly see Genres here. Are you browsing it in LMS mode, or UPnP/DLNA? Is the server showing the teal LMS logo?
