Though I am recently retired after a 30-year IT career, sometimes I bitterly curse computers, computer operating systems, and computer applications.
The pCP CLI update of LMS 8.0.1 went fine. Left home at 10:30am this morning after it finished scanning my music. All was working and the audio stream playing when I left was playing when I returned. But ... no app or web browser could connect to the new LMS. I rebooted pCP. Now it, too, is dead. Not even connecting to the router to get its IP. So no pCP, no SSH, no LMS. Nothing I can use to troubleshoot. So it was all for nothing as I must now reinstall pCP to get again a working LMS because my experience with pCP & LMS is when this kind of thing happens I must start from the beginning. But I will not be updating to LMS 8 again. Very. Frustrating.
