Kia ora there folks; I have just given up on the LMS Synology packages as 1) they will be unsupported very shortly, and 2) they were getting increasingly flaky and unreliable anyway. I have moved to the LMScommunity docker image and it's a bit of a revelation. I couldn't find much about Synology docker settings to get it working, and found it starting and stopping immediately. I've now got this running smoothly and thought I'd share my settings. Under the advanced settings button: Enabled auto restart Under volumes, I created Docker/LMS/config and Docker/LMS/playlists folder then mapped these to /config and /playlists - leave this read/write by NOT checking the Read only button I also mapped my music top level folder to /music and checked the Read Only button. I left the network settings alone, but changed the AUTO mapping for each port to match the internal port setting - i.e. AUTO to 3483 becomes 3483 to 3483
After finishing the wizard, then running the container, I then mapped the music folder under setup to the appropriate new folders for music and favorites. Everything seemed ok but the music scans weren't returning anything. A quick check on the MUSIC parent folder and I realised it was set only for specific users to read. I added the EVERYONE user as READ ONLY. Then restarted the container and scanning sprang to life. Enabled Spotty and material theme, and it's now running better than ever. Thank you to for the community for keeping this brilliant little application alive. I have 3 squeeze radios, a touch and a recently joined PiCorePLayer. I'm sure more experienced users can comment and improve on my observations/settings!
