I was running the server through a Synology ds215j and it worked well for years, I found that the recent updates were not effective for it and changed to a basic Netgear that was available and speed difference was staggering. The Netgear was so much quicker with the Logitech server. Synology was sold to me as "the" media NAS; is okay for films (with its cool apps for your devices and TVs etc...) but was in retrospect was pants for Squeezebox. 8.2.0 runs like a Ferrari on the Netgear compared to the Synology was rev counter style display would go red when you tried re-scans etc... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ NigelDavvenport's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70317 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112993 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
