Back in the times when my iTunes library was the source for the LMS, I used the tool -itunesexport -(name of the Windows version) to transfer the iTunes playlist in a format (*.m3u) that is readable by LMS.

The created playlists must be stored in the Playlist folder defined in the LMS settings.
