I've used a Raspberry Pi to run LMS for several years now. It was very
easy to set up with piCorePlayer and LMS, it's easy to update. It runs
24/7, sits on top of my QNAP, powered by USB from the QNAP and connected
via ethernet to the router. There is detailed and growing documentation
at the pCorePlayer website. For 24/7 usage I'd recommend using a
Raspberry Pi over a desktop PC any day. I've never used Docker, so I
can't comment on how easy this is.
