It seems that I managed to pinpoint the problem. Between my new audiofiles there were some huuuge ones. 3 large files in a row. (huge 192KHz / 24 bit , 1/2 hour orchestral work) a) 764,3MB b) 1,1 GB c) 718,3MB When these were removed indexing went without any hickups.
