Myself (and others) have experienced this behaviour with linstalling LMS
on an O2 Joggler.

This is my routine, if you want to try; remove the logitechmediaserver
(keeping the prefs and cache)

Code:
--------------------
    sudo apt remove logitechmediaserver
--------------------

re-install the logitechmediaserver

Code:
--------------------
    sudo apt install ./************
--------------------

once install is finished, go to the LMS web gui, if successful,
configure LMS.

If the procedure does not work, then try this, it is specific to the
Joggler, but all you have to do, is look in /etc/fstab and see if you
have a similar line.

comment out

tmpfs /var/log tmpfs noatime,size=16M 0 0

in

sudo nano /etc/fstab

then reboot

hope this is useful :)
