However with the latest update I am not able to play any remotely stored
music files. Initially the music was visible in the player but never
played. I then did a complete rescan with the result that no remotely
stored music files are visible. The rescan stops after a second or so.

Are you saying that the connection did work before? You then probably are familiar with the "All Disk Access" you need to grant to LMS (/usr/bin/perl5.18 etc.)? Please double check.

You're saying "the latest update" - of macOS or LMS?
